The Unexpected Life Lessons I Learned from a Broken Coffee Machine

The Great Coffee Drought of 2023

Let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the sheer panic of rolling out of bed at 6 AM, craving a warm, comforting cup of coffee, only to be met with the deafening silence of a completely dead coffee machine. No cheerful gurgle, no enticing aroma – just the cold, hard reality of a caffeine-free morning. That’s right, folks, my trusty coffee machine, my daily source of motivation and energy, had decided to take an indefinite vacation. And so began the Great Coffee Drought of 2023.

coffee felt like an eternity. And don’t even get me started on the French Press – talk about a workout before my actual workout! However, as the days turned into a week, I surprised myself. Turns out, I’m not half bad at using them! Necessity really is the mother of invention (or at least, the mother of remembering how to use long-forgotten appliances).
