We’ve all been there. You’re wandering the aisles of your local grocery store, minding your own business, when suddenly…BAM! You lock eyes with the most adorable little houseplant you’ve ever seen. It’s practically begging you to take it home.

That’s how I ended up with Herbert. (Yes, I name my plants. Don’t judge.)

From Brown Thumb to Budding Plant Parent

Now, I should preface this by saying I do not have a green thumb. In fact, my thumbs are more of a…desolate wasteland brown. Previous attempts at plant parenthood had ended in tragedy, with wilted leaves and whispered apologies.
