I vividly remember my most ambitious culinary endeavor: attempting a cheese souffle. It seemed simple enough in the cookbook – a picture of fluffy, golden perfection. What could go wrong?
Everything, apparently. My souffle resembled a deflated basketball more than an airy cloud of cheesy goodness. The kitchen was shrouded in smoke, the fire alarm was blaring, and I was covered in a thin layer of flour and disappointment.
