My Brown Thumb Gets Greener
Let’s be honest, I’m not exactly known for my green thumb. In fact, my apartment could be considered a danger zone for anything leafy and vibrant. But one day, my well-intentioned friend gifted me a houseplant. It was a cute little thing, perched precariously in a tiny pot, and I was determined to keep it alive. Little did I know, this plant was about to teach me more than just how to keep something from wilting.
Let’s just say it did not go as planned. Picture this: me, covered in dirt, desperately trying to untangle delicate roots from the clutches of the old pot. The plant looked horrified. I’m pretty sure I heard it whimper.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, I managed to transfer it (somewhat gracefully) into its new home. It was a messy process, but the lesson was clear: sometimes the best things take time, patience, and maybe a little less brute force.
Lesson 2: Even When You Feel Wilted, Don’t Give Up
My little plant bounced back from the repotting trauma surprisingly well. But then, disaster struck. I accidentally left it outside during a freak hailstorm.
