The Day My Fashion Sense Took a Nosedive
It all started innocently enough. My three-year-old daughter, Lily, was playing dress-up, her tiny fingers struggling with a feather boa and a tiara perched precariously on her head. I was folding laundry, silently thanking the universe that she hadn’t yet discovered my makeup bag. Suddenly, her bright eyes met mine, a mischievous glint in their depths.
“Mommy, YOU wear!” she exclaimed, thrusting a sequined tutu and a mismatched pair of rain boots towards me.
Now, I’m not one to shy away from a challenge (or a good laugh), so an idea sparked in my mind. What if I actually did let Lily dress me? Not just for a cute photo op, but for an entire week?
And so began my descent into the wonderful, wacky world of toddler-curated fashion.
